About me
2010-2012 Donghua university|Shanghai, China
During this time, I studied in the College of Textiles at Donghua University in China whose textile engineering ranks first nationwide. The College of Textiles created a new major called textiles design at that year. I passed exams and got involved in this new program. The new program offers an Engineering degree instead of an Arts degree. Students were trained as a bridge between manufacture and art. During the following three years, I learnt basic subjects such as physics, chemistry, and statistics like every engineering student. I also got familiar with how the whole textile industry works, including textile raw material, spinning, testing, dyeing, finishing, printing, knitting, and weaving. I also develop my textile design skill at that time, incorporating printing, weaving and knitting design. We did not only focus on aesthetic design but also learnt how to set up machines and how to control parameters.
2013-2015 North Carolina state University|Raleigh, NC
I participated in the accelerated Master's program between my homeschool and North Carolina State University in 2013. I was major in Textiles and apparel technology and management.
During this time, I took some professional design classes and applied my textile knowledge to real fabric and garment design. My project including Shima Seiki flatbed whole garment design, circular knitting jacquard design, fashion design and electronic jacquard weaving design.
This website shows some of my works in school. Hope you will like them.
